Story behind the song
Another song about Depersonalization, a dissociative disorder that affects almost a third of the population. (some get it for just a few minutes, others suffer from it for years). It's a disorder that has been relatively unknown to the general public, but has been steadily becoming more known in recent years. I've had it since I was 12 years old, and share this disorder with one of my musical heroes, Adam Duritz of the Counting Crows. He has also written many songs about his experiences with this disorder, which is probably why I can relate so much to his songs.
