This song was written when my wife and I temporarily were separated. It was written to try and win her back...and it worked!
Story behind the song
I wrote this song, among many others, while briefly separated from my wife. I wrote her two songs, this one and "A Birthday Wish" to try and win her back, because previous songs I wrote about her had an amazing emotional effect on her. So when I finally convinced her to listen to the tape I sent her, she was back home within a couple of weeks.
The final chorus I added in a small snippet of "Spill The Wine" by War, because the keyboard/organ part sounded kind of similar to that song and I thought it would be fun to just throw it in there in the middle of the chorus.
